Tenerife’s Hotel Bahía del Duque Resort & Spa looks like a fantasy. It enjoys a gorgeous location on the southwestern Costa Adeje, up the coast from the trendy “Playa de las Americas”. The resort draws its inspiration of curving balconies, arcaded terraces and tiled turrets from a fusion of Canarian architecture and the baroque motifs of Spanish taste -– surrounded with a botanical garden of flowers and fluttering palms, pools, fountains, winding walkways, curving stairs and little bridges, and every kind of fanciful pleasure-garden motif. The hotel is also a highly-rated spa, the first by L'Occitane en Provence in Spain. There are several excellent golf courses nearby, and a wide range of water activities and other sports available. The Hotel was fully refurbished in 2009.
