Barcelona - Majestic Hotel & Spa

The Majestic Hotel & Spa is a European 5-star hotel in the grand style. It has been open as a hotel since 1918, and last year was completely refurbished. Its location on the Paseo de Gracia, in the center of Barcelona's best-known attractions, was elite and fashionable when it first opened and still is. Several of architect Antoni Gaudi's incomparable buildings, now UNESCO World Heritage sites, are practically on the hotel's doorstep, as are the great central square, Plaza de Catalunya, and bustling, tree-lined Las Ramblas, the pedestrians-only Fifth Avenue of Barcelona.

Guest Rooms
Each of the 275 guestrooms is furnished in classical elegance. You'll sleep in comfort with down bedding, signature cotton sheets, and a memory foam mattress. There is a desk, in-room safe large enough to store a laptop, AC, sound proof windows (a nice plus in a centrally located hotel), flat screen TV with satellite channels, Wi-Fi internet connection. You'll also find bathrobe and slippers, complimentary toiletries, telephone with voice mail, minibar/tea & coffee maker, hair dryer, and more.

Spa and Fitness Facilities
The top-floor Spa of the Majestic is a new addition and already extremely well-received. It is a finalist in the 2013 World Luxury Spa Awards. This serene haven offers a wonderful array of treatments –- for face, for body, and salon treatments for nails, hair, and makeup, along with hydrotherapy and a cosmetics boutique.

The Fitness Center has also been completely refurbished, and offers equipment for cardiovascular and body sculpting/muscle training with piped-in music and plasma TVs. In addition there is the beautiful cityview, rooftop outdoor pool (open as long as warm weather permits), sauna, and a steam room.
